Just finished reading a post from a while back by polar donkey and it gave me pause. Here is what I came up with after much thought. Thank you for the thoughtful post pd.
Frankly, although we my be our own worst enemy in looking outside our own community for answers this is symptomatic to me of a bad case of "We Know better than you, mere citizens" virus running through U.S. politics on the right and left these days.
Question, if our elected leaders feel we citizens don't have the maturity and judgment to think for ourselves, shouldn't they question their own elections by said citizens. a bit of a paradox that. Sort of a Schrödinger's cat of on the political landscape.
Another question for all the politicos and political hacks out there. If we have no maturity or judgment, what does that say about the kind of people we elect? Maybe we should put the losing candidates in office?
Questions? Comments? Angry Exhortations? Any one.
